Having a strong brand or company logo designed is a necessity as a logo is one of the most important corporate identity elements that ensure your brand or company is easily recognized. If you don't have a logo, or a logo that doesn't fit the company well, then you run the risk of being recognized or wrongly associated. A good logo is scalable and recognizable both small and large. This allows you to use it on your website or online store, as a small profile picture of your socials, but also on very large walls of your trade show booth.

It is difficult for a logo to determine its tangible benefits. You can't possibly go and ask all your customers whether the logo played a role in the purchase of a product. And even if you did, they wouldn't be able to answer, since the logo also plays a role primarily in the subconscious of the people who see it. We know that a customer sees your logo and product several times in their customer journey before they proceed to purchase. Recognition is essential then. Having a timeless logo created is a good investment, namely: a logo gains more and more recognition over time and is an indispensable element in the branding of your brand. If you have been building your brand awareness for years, a restyle of your logo is a wise option: you will keep the good elements of your logo, only in a refreshed version.
Fun fact: The Nike swoosh was designed by graphic designer Carolyn Davidsonis. At the time, the company paid $35 for Carolyn's services. With inflation, that would now be about $220. Today, the value of the logo is estimated at a sloppy $26 billion.

Whether you need a logo for a business you have yet to start, or you want to restyle an existing logo, it is always wise to hire an agency. Because a logo is always part of a complete corporate identity or campaign, it is difficult to say exactly how much designing a logo will cost. It depends on your wishes, goals and the budget you have available for the design.
